Co- Curricular Activities-

As co-curricular activities are integral part of Education system in Kendriya Vidyalayas. Hence KV IVRI made a judicious selection of events for co-curricular activities in the academic session 2011-12. The activities got momentum with the division of the students in four houses  Amartyasen, Mahatma Gandhi, Arya Bhatt and Radhakrishnan. All the teachers are similarly divided into four groups. Each group is being headed by a House master and other teachers assist the house masters in successful organization of various activities.

Academic Devolvement Plan & Primary strengthening programme- Consequent upon implementation of NCF 2005, Kendriya Vidyalayas have observed a new pattern in teaching Learning process. Primary Section of the Vidyalaya has successfully implemented common minimum programme for qualitative development of the children. The strategy suggests that the students should be able to connect knowledge to life outside of the school and ensure that learning is shifted from rote method of learning by doing that is activity method. Quality of learning has drastically improved by implementation of maximum TLM in Primary Classes.

Implementation CCE- Continuous and comprehensive evaluation system has helped the students learn continuously and comprehensively. The teachers evaluate their progresses continuously by observing their overall values besides subject related evaluation in various chunks. The implementation of CCE has drastically improved the result of class IX and X.The teachers as well as the students find the activity method more learning oriented and joyful.

Computer Aided Teaching learning Process- The Vidyalaya aims at developing Technology Aided teaching learning process in all the classes. Hence the old computer Lab has recently been shifted in a big spacious

hall where 20 computers with internet facility have been installed. The students have easy access to the computer Lab to search subject related information at their own or with the help of computer teacher. Computer literacy Programme imparts quality education that is the demand in present perspective of education. LCD Projector DVD, OHP Interactive Pad Visualizer and other IT Packages help us a lot in imparting quality education.

Modernisation of Vidyalaya Library- The Vidyalaya has developed library .as per NIC Library Automation Software E-Granthalaya. The library has been shifted from the small room to a big spacious hall in newly constructed block. The library services have been modernised. There are 4652 books of various subjects and 14 magazines, 6 NCERT journals and 7 newspapers that update knowledge of library users. The library has Open Access system.

Career Counselling and Guidance Corner- Library has a separate Career counselling corner where the students of the vidyalaya seek guidance on various options of Job after completion of their school education. Employment newspapers are made available in the vidyalaya at the corner.

Parents Teacher association- Vidyalaya has a parent teacher association. It plays an important role in smooth functioning of the vidyalaya. The members of P.T.A. have been very cooperative in all round development of the vidyalaya, PTA has contributed to great extent to maintain discipline and promote academic activities of the vidyalaya.

Teachers In-service training programme for professional development KVS organises in service training programmes for the professional growth of the teachers. The highly experienced professionals sharpen the skills of the teachers in a planned way. Pre and post tests are given to the teachers to assess their performance. Hence the KV staff remains ever fresh in technology enhancement.

Extra remedial classes for low achievers. Vidyalaya is conducting extra remedial classes for low achievers to improve their performance and for bright learners, teachers devise high order thinking skills to help the students score distinction marks in the home as well as C.B.S.E. exams.

Faculty Development- Needless to say this Vidyalaya is located in the very eminent institution related to Science and Medical research but Vidyalaya was unable to send out children with science steam to pursue science and medical research out ward to excel the career in the said field. This was due to the reason Vidyalaya was not having +2 with science stream. This was not the concern of only parents but also of the VMC Chairman and officers of executive rank of IVRI. I feel extremely happy to inform you that our worthy Director Professor Dr. Gaya Prasad extended his helping hand and approved the proposal in the VMC meeting held on 29th November 2012 to start science at +2 level from the new academic session 2013-14 and the competent authority readily agreed the proposal. I feel extremely grateful to our worthy Director and chairman VMC for this generosity and for his profound love to the wards of the employees of IVRI. To give new shape to the Vidyalaya infrastructure and to cater the need of students. Worthy Chairman also approved the proposal for construction of 5 class rooms and 3 labs to council for incorporation  in the 5th plan of IVRI. I am very grateful for that.

Conclusion- At last but not the least. I would like to say that K.V. IVRI Bareilly will  continuously accolade the terraces of success under the noble guidance of renowned academician Professor Prasad director IVRI/ chairman VMC. Once more I express my sincere thanks to worthy chairman and all the members of VMC, VEC AND PTA and also to parents for extending whole hearted cooperation in all the activities of the vidyalaya.

         Thank you very much

Thank you one and all
